![]() ‘Six days to the scene.'” Sebastian Stan in “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” Courtesy of Disney+ Because you’re like, ‘Oh, my God, I have the scene.’ I had it marked on my calendar and then I was counting the days. “You’re like, ‘Oh, cool, I’m gonna get to do this.’ And then you’re really terrified about it. “It was one of those things where you read the scripts and it’s a scene that you feel grateful about as an actor,” Stan said during a recent interview with IndieWire. (He is 106 years old, after all.) That included finally being freed from the code words that had been implanted in the character’s brain by HYDRA to control him so many years ago, as depicted in an intensely emotional scene at the beginning of Episode 4. Indeed, the beauty for many Marvel fans when watching “Winter Soldier” was the chance to see Bucky get some time to delve into the trauma he’s been carrying for decades upon decades. To him, it was just a path he just kept traveling down, but was very happy to be included and for the opportunity to continue exploring a character that only grew more complicated. And so I think that was always something that I was like, ‘Okay, you never know.’ And so to finally get the call for it, to finally be official for it… for Julius to be the person that’s leading us through this, and Anthony, just like… it’s a group of like theater-trained actors that I’m excited that we’re going to be able to throw down… in this film. For his part, when first drafted into the Marvel movie business, Stan had no idea he’d still be around 10 years later, still exploring Bucky’s history, and now, future. I’ve been teased to do it, but moreso, I think you just… anything could happen in this universe. The actor replied that though he wasn’t sure of it, he knew that MCU is an open door for numerous possibilities and that now he is excited as things have been made official. In the same interview, Ramirez was asked if he knew his character’s transition into Falcon. The actor, who recently starred in Top Gun: Maverick alongside Tom Cruise and Miles Teller, expressed his excitement about working for Marvel Studios again. Ramirez was confirmed to star in Captain America: New World Order during the D23 Expo 2022, where Kevin Feige especially introduced him to the audience. So getting to work with them, first of all, director to actor, and then being able to shape these characters and take the relationship forward is incredible. I’m thrilled, you know, Danny Ramirez, who’s playing Falcon, he and I go back a bit, so and Anthony’s somebody I’ve been a huge, huge fan of as well. Onah added his experience working with Danny Ramirez and Anthony Mackie, saying that it was incredible sharing a director-to-actor collaboration with the two stars. They are both soldiers, they’re brothers, and their journey, I think, is going to be something that really resonates with audiences. Their relationship is one of my favorite ones in this movie it really helps form the emotional core of how Sam has to define himself as Captain America because he loves this guy. Recently, in an interview with ScreenRant, director Julius Onah talked about this relationship between Wilson and Torres and said that the two characters would take a journey together in this film that would resonate with the audience. ![]() ![]() This would lead to a new Captain America-Falcon relationship, which will continue in the new era of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, starting with Captain America: New World Order. It’s now confirmed that such a thing is going to happen.
